Mozambique has a humid and tropical climate, with dry seasons from June to September.

The average temperatures in Maputo vary between 13º and 24ºC in July, and from 22 - 31ºC in February.

Influenced by a cyclone season from the Indian Ocean and the warm currents from the Mozambique channel, the country has a tropical climate.

Mozambique has three distinct climate zones:
(i) North e Center: humid tropical, cyclonic type, with a dry season from four to six months;
(ii) South: Dry Tropical, with a six to nine month dry season;
(iii) Mountains: High tropic climate.

The rainy season occurs between October and April.

Average precipitation in the mountains is over 2,000 mm.

The relative humidity is high – between 70% and 80%, although daily humidity can vary between 10 and 90%.

Average temperatures vary between 20ºC in the South and 26ºC in the North, with the highest temperatures in the rainy seasons.
