PADI has designed a scuba session for 8 to 10 year olds, in which children can participate in 'Discover Scuba' and above. 'Bubble Makers' gives the kids a chance to experience using scuba equipment in a safe and fun environment. After a short introduction to the equipment and basic safety rules, the young divers are supervised by an experienced Instructor in shallow water to a maximum depth of 2 metres. There are no exercises or skills to perform, but it's an opportunity for them to see what diving is all about.
What will your child learn?
Bubblemakers get a chance to:
-
Experience scuba diving under the direct care and supervision of a Diversity Instructor.
-
Take their first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2 metres/6 feet.
-
Learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children – not adults.
-
Have lots of fun!
What scuba gear will you use?
In the Bubblemaker program, participants get a basic introduction on how to use scuba gear, how to clear a regulator and mask, and an overview of breathing do's and dont's. Diversity will advise you about anything else you need.
