Experience the Underwater Sound of the Ocean Giants
This is undoubtedly an experience of a lifetime not to be missed.
This activity lasts for about 2 hours and consists of a specific visualization of one of our iconic species that visits us during the middle of June to the end of September, the Humpback Whale.

Humpback whales are known for their magical songs, which travel for approx. 2 km distance through the ocean. Each population communicates through its own dialect and sings its own whale song. Only men sing though! It is thought that males will use song to attract the female, as well as to show dominance.

When it comes to length, the females are actually longer than the males. Female humpbacks can grow to 18 mtr long, and they can weigh 40.000 kg (same as 6 elephants or 11 times an adult male hippo). Their flippers can grow up to 5 mtr long, which is the largest appendage in the world.â €

They love to jump out of the water – called breaching – and perform acrobatic twirls. They also enjoy poking just their heads out of the water, or slapping their tail around. It’s suspected these are ways humpback whales play, interact, and communicate with one another.

Get yourself and your family involved in this fantastic adventure where you can learn and contribute to saving these animals so that the next generation can also be stunned by their presence. This is an awesome way to teach your kids about the ocean and its incredible marine life. Come and help us save the Marine Megafauna of Tofo, Mozambique!
